Applications Procedure

In order to become a fully-fledged member of Wydan University, you will just need to complete a few minor steps. As Wydan University is a literate RPG, and one of quality, you are expected to meet those standards: these steps are just some to ensure that these standards are met in the beginning, and to help weed out those who will not.

  1. Read through the information sections of the website, especially the rules and the degrees and majors pages. Once you are sure that you have read all the available information, and understand it all, you may proceed to the next step.
  2. Register an account, with your intended character’s first and last name. Do not add “Prof.” to your character’s title, even if you are applying for a professor character.
  3. Once you have confirmed your email, you may move on to Registration Day, and follow the instructions at the beginning of the thread.
*If applying for a professor character, please PM the Chancellor with information regarding your professor - wanted position, age range, basic background, etc. so that we may discuss the character.
  4. If you meet all posting standards - length, spelling/grammar etc. - your account will be modified to reflect your character’s position at Wydan, and you will be granted posting access to the rest of the board. Also, you will receive a PM, informing you of this, and more.
*If you do not meet the criteria, you will receive a PM informing you of this, with suggestions for improvement, and a request to try again.
  5. You will then have a fortnight in which to fill out our profile forms and post it in the appropriate forum. There, it will be checked for glaring inconsistancies, character or canon-wise, and then either approved (and moved to the correct location), or placed into “editing mode” (where a PM is sent with a request for edits, and a new deadline).
  6. If your profile has been approved, that is it! You may now keep on roleplaying (as you probably have during the two weeks of profile-writing, to get a “feel” for the character), and be sure to jump into the OOC area.
